MARION, Ohio (June 14, 2010) - Scott Blackford has been promoted to president of TODCO in Marion, Ohio. The announcement was made by Dennis Stone, president and CEO of TODCO's parent company, the Overhead Door Corporation.
"Throughout his successful career at TODCO, Scott is known as a kind, diligent and positive professional who builds lasting, constructive relationships with customers and suppliers, provides guidance and support to his people, and is constantly in pursuit of ways to make his business stronger and more sustainable for the future" said Stone. "His leadership will continue to be critical in expanding our global presence and maintaining our position as a market leader," said Stone.
Blackford's career with TODCO has spanned 31 years in several locations including Dallas, Texas and Lancaster, PA., as well as the Marion office. He has held various inside sales and field sales management positions, and traveled extensively throughout Europe, Canada and China, promoting door and railcar products. In 1999 he was promoted to his most recent position as vice president of sales and marketing, where his focus has been primarily on strategic planning and the development and introduction of new products.
